Adam Kautzner, PharmD, is President of Express Scripts®, the nation’s leading pharmacy benefit management (PBM) company serving more than 112 million Americans. Adam leads all aspects of the PBM business— including client relationships, supply chain, and drug negotiation — to lower the cost of drugs for clients, and more importantly, patients. Adam previously led Supply Chain for Express Scripts, where he was responsible for pharmaceutical contracting, retail network contracting and drug sourcing for Express Scripts Pharmacy and Accredo Pharmacy. He oversaw collaboration efforts across the organization in the development of supply chain products including pharmacy networks, channel solutions, and value-based programs. Adam is on the board of the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA), a national advocacy organization that represents the PBM industry. He also serves on the board of the St. Louis Regional Business Council. Adam earned his PharmD from St. Louis College of Pharmacy and is an authorized nuclear pharmacist.
